Ekklesia Seattle is a community of worship and mission that exists to multiply and mature worshipers of Jesus Christ wherever we go in all the earth. Planted in Beacon Hill—less than two miles southeast of downtown and part of one of the most ethnically diverse areas of the country—Ekklesia has an opportunity to engage and influence the very heart of Seattle’s culture and numerous sub-cultures. To reflect the character and redemption of God, as well as the unique culture, makeup, and diversity of the city, the goal is to establish an international and community worship culture that exalts Jesus and reflects the Gospel. In short, a church-planting movement in southeast Seattle and Beacon Hill is truly an opportunity for the Gospel to reach the ends of the earth.
Keith & Julie Ferguson
Keith and Julie each met Jesus in the summer of 2002, and then later meet one another in the fall of 2005. In time, they realized that God had long been at work in their lives: calling them out of very dark places of sin and brokenness, giving them a hunger to introduce others to Jesus, and preparing them to do that work together. Since their wedding in 2006, they have lived and served Jesus in thirteen cities, five states, and three countries! They have had five children: Benjamin, Jonathan (deceased), Abigail, Lillian, and Tobias. Keith earned a M.A. in Missiology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Additionally, he earned a M.S. in Finance from Texas A&M University and a B.B.A. from Baylor University. Julie earned a B.A. in Sociology from Texas A&M University.
