In May of 2008 the Braswells along with a few other families, relocated to Lynnwood, WA to plant what is now LifePoint Church. In the fall of 2009 LifePoint held its first Sunday morning worship service. Since then God has done some amazing things in and through the people of LifePoint.
LifePoint places a high value on outreach to the community. As a result the church has hosted multiple outreach events such as Egg Hunts, Soccer Camps, block parties, and Christmas events. Furthermore, the membership of LifePoint are continually encouraged to share the good news of the gospel with their friends and family. As a result, God has used these events and the people of LifePoint to draw numerous people to the church.
LifePoint places an equal value on discipleship. Following the example of 2 Timothy 2:2 LifePoint seeks to make disciples who make disciples who will then make disciples. The church continues to refine and promote its discipleship process that conveys biblical information in an environment in which people can be mentored by mature believers and equipped to make disciples.
Over the past few years God has graciously raised up several local residents from the community who have been discipled and now serve as key leaders within the church. Because of this, LifePoint has a strong leadership core that is committed to seeing the good news of the gospel proclaimed to the local community and beyond.
LifePoint Church is based in the community of Lynnwood, which is approximately 15 miles north of downtown Seattle. It is a major hub of the region located at the intersection of I-5 and I-405. This area is home to thousands of diverse people with many more moving to the community each year. Lynnwood is also an economic center for the area with large shopping malls, movie theaters, and restaurants. It possesses a bright future for much more growth and development.
