Pike Place Baptist Church

God led the Bells to leave their pastoral ministry in Centerton, AR to begin a new church in the heart of downtown Seattle. Their ministry model is relational. They begin conversations that lead to friendships, that lead to the gospel, that leads to conversion, discipleship, and a new New Testament, Southern Baptist Church. They will strive to be biblical in our foundation and authentic in their relationships. By God’s grace, in His time, they will see a vibrant church, rooted in the Word—filled with people whose lives have been transformed by the power of the gospel (Mark 5:15; Acts 10:33). All praise to the Lord Jesus!

Since the first year of their marriage in 1983, Lisa and Stuart have served in ministry. After serving churches in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, they have just concluded 18+ years as pastor of FBC Centerton, AR. At Centerton, by God’s grace, they saw a church planting movement begin among their adopted unreached people group in South Asia. Also, the church was privileged to partner in the planting of the first Farsi-speaking church in Athens, Greece, reaching Muslim refugees. Now God has called them, in a personal way, to be on mission with Him in Seattle. They have two children. Emily and her husband, Matt, are presently on mission in East Asia. Their son Lucas and his wife Kyla are in KC, MO where Lucas is pursuing his biblical counseling degree at Midwestern Seminary. Stuart and Lisa come to Seattle by faith, believing He is able to accomplish much by the power of the gospel.
