Timothy and Melissa Moore are starting cowboy churches in the Skagit Valley, beginning in the county seat town of Mount Vernon, WA. The Skagit Valley is considered coastal farm and ranch country, even though it is a part of the Greater Seattle area. The town of Mount Vernon had no SBC church prior to Timothy and Melissa moving there. There are over 30,000 people in the town of Mount Vernon and 100,000 in the valley. An estimated 90,000 do not attend church. The people of the Skagit Valley value western culture and the great outdoors. Timothy and Melissa both connect naturally with this culture having been raised in the country. Melissa has two university degrees in agriculture/animal science and Timothy worked as a paid cowboy in Texas. They share a love for the outdoors and farm life.
